Introduction

Mary Polizzi, Licensed Medical Aesthetician

Mary Polizzi has been an aesthetician for over 20 years. She acquired her Rhode Island license for aesthetics in 1999 from Arthur Angelo's School of Cosmetology in Providence, RI. She has practiced in a dermatology setting since 2010. She obtained her Rhode Island electrology (permanent hair removal) license in 2014. The same year, Mary was the first person to attain her electrology license and pass her board certification in the State of Connecticut through an apprenticeship program. In addition to electrolysis, Mary specializes in several cosmetic treatments and devices including Candela® Vbeam Perfecta, which removes vascular & pigmented lesions and also eliminates acne scarring; Candela® elōs for laser hair reduction; Candela® elōs Plus SRA to assist with red and brown irregularities on the face, neck, chest, back and arms; and SkinPen® microneedling, which addresses a variety of skin issues, including acne scarring, and is safe for almost all skin types.

Additionally, Mary incorporates microdermabrasion, HydraFacial™, dermaplaning, and chemical peel (superficial to mid-grade) treatments for patients that would benefit from less-invasive services. She takes special interest in skin conditions such as rosacea, acne, and problematic and/or aging skin. During consultations, Mary analyzes each individual's skin needs and explains the process of skin rejuvenation to provide the patient with a better understanding of how the skin aging is reversed.
