Dermal lasers selectively target certain colors within the mid-portion of the skin. Depending on the target, different wavelengths of lasers are used. Two of the most common targeted colors include red spots and brown spots. Most lasers are coupled with a cooling device for a more comfortable experience while also providing the safety needed to protect against treating unwanted targets of color. Most are more startled by the laser burst than have any discomfort. After one to two pulses, you’ll know what to expect and proceed easily through the remainder of the treatment.
